Getting to Sintra

🚂  We took a train from Lisbon to Sintra for the day and then walked.

Day 1: 

We walked up to the Palais National de Pena, since it is on a hill. In hindsight, I would have paid for a little buggy car to take us. We spent the day touring the Palace and then walked along to see the shops in the town. This is definitely a city that I would not miss! It is still one of my favorites to this day! 

Food 

Some food I recommend is: 

• Nata

• Ginja (liquor), we tried it in a chocolate cup that you ate at the end.

Some places to eat are:

• Fábrica da Nata (located in Lisbon, Sintra and Porto) 

Lodging

• We stayed in a hostel in Lisbon and then did a day trip here.
