Getting to Lisbon

✈️ We flew from Bilbao.

Our Trip to Lisbon (2019)

*My most recent trip recap.*

Day 1:

We flew from Bilbao to Lisbon very early in the morning on a very cheap flight deal we had found. Then, we took a bus into the city where we were dropped off at Praça do Comercio. It was so nice to be right on the water and get to enjoy the views and mild weather. Then making our way to the Time Out Market Lisboa for lunch. Part of the market is little restaurants set up where you can order food and then eat at one of the middle tables of the hall. The other half of the market reminded me of a farmers market in the united states where fresh fruits and vegetables were being sold.  We had fun wandering around the area and made our way up a giant hill that led us to some great views of the city where we had a snack. After our giant walk up the hill, we decided to pay for a Tuk Tuk car to take us to our hostel where we spent some time settling in. Our hostel had some fun signage! Then, we went to Fábrica da Nata where we tried our first Nata pastries. The store fresh makes them it looks like and there is a contraption that moves them all around the store as high as the ceiling! I fell in love. These are to this day some of the best pastries I think I have ever tasted and I loved adding a bit of cinnamon to the top. We had dessert as an appetizer this evening having Nata pastries, dinner then more Nata pastries!

The next day we ate breakfast at the hostel, and caught the train for our day trip to Sintra!
